Fantasy Showroom Rules

Groups

  • Each showroom must be part of a group
  • After creating an account, you will be prompted to create a group or join an existing group
  • Groups will be either public or private, the person who creates the group will have administrative rights over the group
  • Each username can only have one showroom, create multiple usernames/logins for multiple showrooms

Vehicle Selection

  • Each team will draft(purchase) 10 Cars
  • You must draft 1 car from each category*
  • Each player will start with 2 million US dollars
  • Cars will be purchased for MSRP* and that amount will be taken from your 2 million dollar starting bank
  • You will retain your remaining money for future car purchases
  • Each team can purchase and use the same cars
  • Owners may only use the same car for 3 months

Game

  • Game will be played at the make and model level (Audi A4)
  • Cars will be sorted into Categories
  • Sedan, Hybrid, Van, Truck, SUV, Luxury, Wagon, Sport, Convertible, Compact/Coupe
  • Use http://www.vehix.com/new-cars/#Research for reference
  • Money Remaining from your draft can be used to change cars each month
  • To change cars you must sell a car in your garage
  • Owner will be paid x% of MSRP based on time you kept the car
    • less than 1 month MSRP - 80%
    • 1 month MSRP - 65%
    • 2 month MSRP - 50%
    • 3 months MSRP - 25%
  • That money will be placed back in your bank
  • You can buy and sell as many cars as long as you have money remaining
  • You must always have exactly 10 cars in your garage before month close
  • Month close occurs on the last day of the month
  • Teams with less than 10 cars or multiple cars in one category will receive 0 points for the month
  • No car can be used for more than 3 months
  • After 3 months your car will be automaticly sold for 25% of MSRP

Points

  • The season is Dec 1st 2009 - Aug 31st 2010
  • Points will be awarded on a monthly basis
  • Points for each car will be based on "X" categories
  • Points for each car will be added together for your monthly score then added to your season score
  • The team with the most points at the end of the season is the winner
  • Tie breaker for two equal points teams at the end of the season will be money remaining in bank

Monthly Sales Volume

  • Points awarded by percentile base on total sales volume
  • 100 points for 90%
  • 90 points for 80%
  • 80 points for 70%
  • 70 points for 60%
  • 60 points for 50%
  • 50 points for 40%
  • 40 points for 30%
  • 30 points for 20%
  • 20 points for 10%

% change in sales volume

  • Points awarded by percentile base on sales % change increase (or % lowest decrease should there be no increase in a given month) from previous month
  • 200 points for 90%
  • 180 points for 80%
  • 160 points for 70%
  • 140 points for 60%
  • 120 points for 50%
  • 100 points for 40%
  • 80 points for 30%
  • 60 points for 20%
  • 40 points for 10%

Market Interest - based on new car lead volume on the JAG channel

  • Points awarded by percentile base on total leads submitted on JAG channel
  • 200 points for 90%
  • 180 points for 80%
  • 160 points for 70%
  • 140 points for 60%
  • 120 points for 50%
  • 100 points for 40%
  • 80 points for 30%
  • 60 points for 20%
  • 40 points for 10%

Shopping index - Based on pageview volume from JAG channel

  • Points awarded daily
  • Each car can receive up to 10 points a day
  • Points awarded by percentile base on volume of pageviews vs other cars
    • 10 points for 90%
    • 9 points for 80%
    • 8 points for 70%
    • 7 points for 60%
    • 6 points for 50%
    • 5 points for 40%
    • 4 points for 30%
    • 3 points for 20%
    • 2 points for 10%
  • Your 10 car showroom can receive 100 points a day max and 3000 points a month from this category.

EPA/MPG

  • You will get these points every month you have the car in the garage
  • 100 points over 50mpg
  • 80 points get 40-50mpg
  • 60 points for 30-40mpg
  • 40 points for 20-30mpg
  • 20 points for less than 20mpg
  • 0 points less than 10mpg

Awards

  • 50 Bonus points will be given to cars who receive Awards or make top ten lists.
  • Upcoming bonus opportunities will be announced to the participants through twitter, Facebook and blog posts.

  • Points awarded by percentile base on fewest cars owned in Fantasy Showroom
  • 200 points for 0%
  • 180 points for 10%
  • 160 points for 20%
  • 140 points for 30%
  • 120 points for 40%
  • 100 points for 50%
  • 80 points for 60%
  • 60 points for 70%
  • 40 points for 80%
  • 20 points for 90%

Showrooms

  • Points for each car will be added together for your monthly score then added to your season score
  • Score will be visible by category, by car, and by team. Monthly and Season to date.
  • The team with the most points at the end of the season is the winner
  • You can create private or public leagues with a minimum of 4 teams
